Trails in the Crafton Hills are used by hikers, horseback riders, bicyclists, birders and other “escapist” from the rigors of work and City-Life. From Zanja Peak (3543′), there is a 360 degree view including the three “Saints” of the Southern California high country: Mt. San Gorgonio, the highest peak in Southern California at 11,499′, Mt. San Jacinto and Mt. San Antonio; and on a clear day, the valley view is awesome!
The Crafton Hills trails are planned as part of the regional trail system connecting with the Santa Ana River Trail greenbelt, ultimately extending from the Pacific Crest Trail in the San Bernardino Mountains to the Pacific Coast. A well maintained fire road links the three main trail areas, west to east. The Oak Glen & Regional Park Trails link to Hwy 38, via the Hwy 38 Loop Trail.
